Day 1. Travel to Khustai National Park After leaving city, we will drive for about 1-2 hours to get the National Park which is famous by its wild horses, Prewalski horses. The National Park is a fine example of the wide river valleys separated by hilly terrain that characterize forest steppe. There are dozens of wild animals such as wolves, deer, and Przewalski horse which was reintroduced in 1990 with a cooperation of the Foundation Reserves for the Przewalski Horse and the support of Dutch Government. In the evening, we will see the wild horses when they come down from the mountain to drink from water. It will be amazing to see the wild animals in the nature. Stay overnight in Ger camp. BLD.
Day 2. Travel to Kharkhorin
After a great breakfast, we will head to the first ancient city of the Great Mongol Empire which was dated back from the 13th century. It will take about 280 km to drive. Howvever the city looks now as a simple village, the Erdenezuu monastery which was established in 16th century on the ruin of the city is the biggets highlight. We will see beautiful 2 musuems to get to know about mongolian religion and how the city was like. There are some other historial monuments to see. Importantly, the nature of the Orkhon valley is great there. Overnight in Ger camp. BLD.
Day 3. Travel back to Ulaanbaatar After having a good relax, we will go back to Ulaanbaatar city. On the way, we will stop by the beautiful sand dune, Elsen Tasarkhai for taking short walk and enjoy the pictersque nature around. The road to get back to Ulaanbaatar is asphalt and we will have time do to shopping and see traditional folk concert in the evening in UB. Have farewell dinner. Overnight in the hotel. BLD.
